Dutton Ranch: the Yellowstone spin-off arrives late
This is the Yellowstone spin-off that follows Beth and Rip after the events of that show. Early talk said fall 2025, but the date slid. Paramount+ premiered Dutton Ranch on May 15, 2026, with nine episodes also shown on Paramount Network. The title was shortened from The Dutton Ranch in March 2026. Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser return as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, with Annette Bening, Ed Harris and Finn Little in the cast. Rotten Tomatoes shows 89% from 36 critics, and Metacritic gives it 63 out of 100. Paramount+ renewed it for a second season in June 2026. Creator Chad Feehan left after season 1 was shot, before the premiere.
Slow Horses series 5 in the Fall 2025 streaming guide
Apple TV ran six episodes of series 5, from September 24 to October 29, 2025. The show follows Jackson Lamb and a team of disgraced spies sent to the dumping ground called Slough House, who solve cases in their own unorthodox way. Gary Oldman plays Lamb, Jack Lowden is River Cartwright and Kristin Scott Thomas is Diana Taverner. Rotten Tomatoes lists series 5 at 96%, after 95%, 100%, 98% and 100% for series 1 through 4. Series 6 premiered on September 16, 2026, and wrapped up with its finale on October 21, 2026, and series 7 was renewed in July 2025. This is the most consistent show on the list.
Black Rabbit: Jude Law and Jason Bateman as brothers
Netflix released this eight-episode limited series on September 18, 2025. Jude Law plays Jake Friedken, the owner of a New York restaurant and VIP lounge that is about to become the city’s next big hot spot. His life starts to unravel when his troubled older brother Vince, played by Jason Bateman, returns and puts the business at risk, bringing old trauma and new danger with him. Amaka Okafor, Cleopatra Coleman and Troy Kotsur are in the cast. Critics were split: Rotten Tomatoes shows 68% from 62 reviews, and Metacritic gives it 63.
Only Murders season 5 in the Fall 2025 streaming guide
Hulu premiered Only Murders in the Building season 5 on September 9, 2025, with three episodes, and the 10-episode run ended on October 28. Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez lead, joined by Meryl Streep, Renée Zellweger and Christoph Waltz. The season opens at the funeral of Lester, the Arconia doorman. Chad Powers: Glen Powell goes undercover on a football team
Hulu premiered Chad Powers on September 30, 2025. Glen Powell stars as Russ Holliday, a college quarterback whose career collapses over his behavior. To get a second shot at football glory, he comes back in a prosthetic nose and a wig as a walk-on named Chad Powers for the struggling South Georgia Catfish. He hopes to turn the team around and win back his name. Anyone who has seen a disguise comedy knows the fun is waiting for someone to get caught. Perry Mattfeld, Wynn Everett and Steve Zahn are in the cast, and Eli and Peyton Manning are executive producers. Season 1 holds 60% on Rotten Tomatoes from 52 reviews. Hulu renewed it anyway, and season 2 premiered on September 3, 2026.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2
Disney+ premiered season 2 on December 10, 2025, with two episodes, and the eight-episode run ended on January 21, 2026. It adapts Rick Riordan’s The Sea of Monsters. Percy sails for the Golden Fleece after Grover goes missing, finds out he has a Cyclops half-brother named Tyson, and learns the magic borders protecting Camp Half-Blood are failing. Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell and Daniel Diemer lead. Rotten Tomatoes shows 100% from 37 reviews, and Metacritic gives it 73. Season 3, adapting The Titan’s Curse, is set for November 20, 2026. If you want something the whole family can watch, it is the easy pick on this list.
Pluribus: the Fall 2025 streaming guide’s biggest winner
Apple TV premiered Pluribus on November 7, 2025, with two episodes, and the nine-episode first season ended on December 24. Vince Gilligan, the man behind Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, created it. Rhea Seehorn stars as Carol Sturka, a novelist who is one of only 13 people immune to an alien virus that turns everyone else into a content hive mind. The pitch is a hooky one: the most miserable person on Earth has to save the world from happiness. Rotten Tomatoes shows 99% from 186 critics. Apple says it became the most-watched series in the platform’s history, and it won six Primetime Emmys, including lead actress for Seehorn and writing for Gilligan. A second season has been ordered.
The Paper: a Greg Daniels newsroom comedy
Peacock released all ten episodes of The Paper on September 4, 2025. Greg Daniels and Michael Koman created the series, which follows the documentary crew from The Office as it turns its cameras on the Toledo Truth-Teller, a struggling newspaper in Ohio. Its glory days are long gone, and the publisher is trying hard to bring it back. If you have ever quoted The Office at work, you know the awkward humor to expect. Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Melvin Gregg and Chelsea Frei are in the cast. Season 1 holds 85% on Rotten Tomatoes from 108 reviews, and season 2 premiered on September 9, 2026.
Task: Mark Ruffalo hunts a robbery ring
HBO premiered Task on September 7, 2025. Brad Ingelsby, who created Mare of Easttown, made it, and it has the same gritty feel and tangled characters. Mark Ruffalo plays Tom Brandis, a former priest turned FBI agent leading a task force against robberies of biker-gang stash houses, and Tom Pelphrey plays Robbie Prendergast, the garbage collector pulling them off.
